Plaster Profiles & Dry Wall Angle Beads User’s Guide

EXTERIOR PLASTER APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS Use only setting mortar to fix the profiles in place; do not use gypsum or materials containing gypsum.
Use stainless steel profiles on very exposed surfaces and surfaces vulnerable to weathering Stainless steel profiles or galvanised profiles additionally protected by a suitable coating (anti-corrosion primer) are to be used in areas near ground level. Particularly for plaster work, stainless steel profiles are to be used for the renovation of old buildings (Stone masonry).

INTERIOR PLASTER APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Set profiles with plaster.
Do not use plaster in damp or wet rooms; instead, use setting mortar for setting. Ensure good draft and exhaust ventilation after plastering. Attach profiles with expanded metal flanges to masonry corners with setting points every 30–40 cm.
Press the profile securely into the setting point and align it with a spirit level. Trowel down the setting points smooth.
Caution: Profile heads must protrude out of the setting points.
Use white-coated stainless steel or aluminium profiles in damp rooms.

Cut profiles with sheet-metal shears, never with a cutting disc.
It may be desirable to remove nails used for preliminary fastening prior to plastering.
Work on stainless steel profiles only with non-corrosive tools.
